I built a custom RetroConsole using a Raspberry Pi running RetroPie, turning it into a compact, all-in-one retro gaming system. The console supports 100+ classic titles across multiple generations of gaming platforms through a single, unified interface.
The system is capable of emulating a wide range of platforms, including arcade systems, NES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Atari, and Dreamcast. The project focused on combining hardware setup, emulation software, controller configuration, and storage management into a plug-and-play experience suitable for everyday use.
Through this project, I gained hands-on experience with embedded Linux systems, emulation environments, input mapping, and performance tuning, while also balancing technical setup with usability and user experience.
